WAKE is a completed feature screenplay set in the early 1900s on a fictitious Caribbean island.

A character-driven supernatural drama, it unfolds within a gritty, textured world shaped by suspicion, murder, unrequited love and family tensions. The story also explores recurring Caribbean themes including the supernatural, inheritance and rites of passage.

Completed as part of Sonji’s MA in Professional Writing, where the screenplay received a Distinction.
