Film & Television Production
Professionally trained across the technical disciplines of filmmaking, Sonji has hands-on production experience spanning planning, production and post-production. Her work includes production management, directing, cinematography, post-production picture and post-production sound.
Between 2006 and 2010, through Irasha Productions, she produced a range of corporate productions for government ministries and statutory bodies while also working with Executive Producer Barbara Bande and Senior Producer Linda Stregger of UP Front Entertainment (Toronto, Canada) on the development of a regional adaptation of the CBS Paramount Television Top Model franchise.
Alongside production, she manages projects from development through completion, coordinating creative teams while also serving as lead editor on much of her work. This combination of creative and technical expertise allows her to shape projects from concept through final delivery.

Teaching & Higher Education
Alongside her work in media and production, Sonji is a college lecturer in Communication Studies and Cinematic Arts. She brings professional industry experience into the classroom while helping emerging creatives develop both their storytelling and production skills.
She has also delivered filmmaking and media training within community settings, including churches and non-governmental organisations. Her work has included supporting the development of the Antigua Then documentary series, equipping participants with practical production skills and storytelling techniques.
Screenwriting & Story Development
Seeking not only to participate in production but also to create original work, Sonji pursued postgraduate study in Writing and Producing for Television and later completed a Master's degree in Professional Writing.
Her writing spans screenplays, fiction and original screen projects, with particular interests in narrative development, character, structure and storytelling across both screen and written forms.
Current Creative Practice
Based in Antigua and Barbuda, Sonji continues to develop original literary and screen projects through Irasha Productions. She is currently developing original novels, screenplays and other creative works while continuing to explore new opportunities in film, television and media.
